Dental Implants San Ramon CA

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants replace a missing tooth root with a small titanium post that fuses with the jawbone over time. Once healed, the implant supports a custom crown, bridge, or denture that looks and functions like a natural tooth. Because they replace the root itself, dental implants help preserve jawbone density and offer a stable, long-term solution for missing teeth.

Complete Dental Implant Care Under One Roof

At San Ramon Family Dental, every phase of implant placement and restoration takes place within our own office. Rather than referring patients out to separate specialists across town, our periodontist, oral surgeon, and restorative dentists coordinate your care from evaluation through your final restoration. This in-house approach keeps your treatment connected, convenient, and consistent from start to finish.

Meet Your Implant Team

Dental implant treatment works best when the specialists involved communicate closely, and that collaboration happens naturally when the whole team practices under one roof. Here is an introduction to the doctors who work together on your implant care at San Ramon Family Dental.

Periodontal Expertise & Implant Placement: Dr. Brody

Dr. Hanna Brody is our in-house periodontist, trained at the University of California, San Francisco in both dental surgery and periodontics. Her postgraduate research focused on peri-implant disease, giving her particular insight into the gum and bone health that implants depend on. Dr. Brody evaluates the foundation for your implant, including gum tissue and bone support, and she is also trained to place dental implants alongside Dr. Phan.

Oral Surgery & Implant Placement: Dr. Phan

Dr. The Phan is our in-house oral surgeon, trained in dentistry and medicine with advanced specialty training in oral surgical procedures. He performs implant placement along with related procedures such as bone grafting, and he can provide intravenous sedation when it is needed or requested. Dr. Phan focuses on thorough evaluation and minimally invasive techniques to support a smoother recovery.

Restorative Phase – Final Implant Teeth: Dr. Khanna or Dr. Zhu

Once your implant has healed, Dr. Rupam Khanna or Dr. Ricky Zhu completes the restorative phase by designing and placing your final implant teeth. Both dentists work closely with our surgical team to make sure your crown, bridge, or denture fits comfortably and matches the rest of your smile. This handoff between specialists happens in house, so your restorative dentist already knows the details of your case.

Types of Dental Implants We Offer

Every patient’s needs are different, and the right solution depends on how many teeth need to be replaced. Our team offers the following options as part of our implant placement and restoration services.

  • Single Tooth Dental Implants: A single tooth implant replaces one missing tooth without altering the healthy teeth next to it. The implant post is placed and, once integrated with the jawbone, is topped with a custom crown that blends with your smile. Single tooth implants are often recommended when just one tooth is missing and a bridge is not the preferred option.
  • Multiple Tooth Implants / Implant Bridges: When several teeth in a row are missing, implant supported bridges can replace them using fewer implants than one per tooth. This option provides stable, fixed replacement teeth without relying on the surrounding natural teeth for support. Our team evaluates your bone structure and spacing to determine whether this approach fits your case.
  • Full Arch Dental Implants / All on 4: For patients missing most or all of their teeth in an arch, full arch dental implants, sometimes called All on 4, can support a complete set of replacement teeth using as few as four implants. This approach is designed to restore function and confidence for patients who might otherwise consider traditional dentures. Dr. Phan or Dr. Brody place the implants and our restorative dentists design the final full arch restoration.
